Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you get in touch or book a treatment, how I use it, and the rights you have over it.

Who I am

I'm Mel, and I run Blissful Healing, a holistic therapy practice based in Frisby on the Wreake, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. I'm the data controller responsible for your information, and you can reach me at melanie@blissfulhealingleicester.co.uk.

I'm registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration reference ZB070905).

The information I collect

• When you use my contact form: your name, email address, phone number and the message you send me.
• When you book a treatment (through my booking system, Solo): your name, contact details and appointment information.
• Before and during treatments: relevant health and wellbeing information you choose to share with me on a consultation form, so I can give you a safe and suitable treatment. Health details are treated as special category data and handled with extra care.

How I use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and answer any questions before you book.
  
• To arrange, confirm and manage your appointments.
  
• To provide treatments safely and tailor them to your needs.
  
• To keep the basic records I'm required to hold for insurance and professional practice.

My lawful basis

I rely on your consent when you contact me or share health information, and on contractual necessity and legitimate interests to arrange and deliver the treatments you book. For any health information, I rely on your explicit consent, given on your consultation form.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your information, and I never share it for marketing. I use a small number of trusted services to run my practice — for example my booking system (Solo) and my email provider — who process data on my behalf under agreement. I'll only share your information where I'm legally required to, or where it's genuinely necessary to protect someone's safety.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry messages only as long as I need to deal with them. Treatment and consultation records are kept for 7 years in line with my insurer's requirements, and are then securely deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how I use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. If you're ever unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
